New York: Praeger, 1969. First edition. Softcover, 240pp., 9 x 8.25 inches.

Very Good. Some page discoloration due to age, but clean covers and only mild rubbing/marking. Gentle creases to spine, but still tight and intact.

Seminal book on "arte povera" edited by the man who coined the term himself, Germano Celant. Italian in origin, the arte povera (“poor art”) movement showcased a markedly different approach to materials, with artists using soil, rags and twigs in their work. Influencing the later Japanese mono-ha movement as well as American conceptual art, the dense book includes work by Alighiero Boetti, Pier Paolo Calzolari, Walter De Maria, Michael Heizer, Douglas Huebler, Mario Merz, Richard Serra, and many others.
