Guitarist John Fahey's biography of once overlooked Mississippi guitarist Charley Patton. Patton's songs, recorded in a spate of sessions in two short years (1929-1930), are legendary amongst blues aficionados. In Fahey's book, photographs, illustrations and reproductions of music notes tell the story. One of a series of monographs edited by Paul Oliver, each book in the series examined important blues singers and musicians and is extensively illustrated with historic photographs and ephemera.
