Produced in the summer of 1978, Hockney "drew" with colored paper pulp on handmade paper; when pressed and dried, the pulp merged with the paper, with the image in the paper fiber itself. This book reproduces the entire series in color, including the numerous line drawings and polaroid photographs that served as studies. Also includes photographs and writing by the artist on the process of creating the works and working in an unfamiliar medium. Includes 127 illustrations, including 87 plates in full color.
