The included photographs were selected from approximately 100 albums assembled over a twenty-year period beginning in the 1960s. With an introductory essay by the artist on the subjects of his portraits - himself, Christopher Isherwood, Ossie Clark, Cecil Beaton, Rudolf Nureyev, Andy Warhol, his own mother and father.
