Includes photocopy of typewritten "letter" addressed to the manager of Foto Gallery:

"Dear sir,

Enclosed, please find a copy of my photo album, my first personal publication.

These photographs were taken in the last 12 years and were published as a memorial of my works in my twenties. The number "029" in the title means that I was 29 years old then. The date of the publication is my 30th birthday. The subtitle on the front page roughly means "Tokyo, Love, Affection, But..."

I am a free-lance photographer working in Tokyo mainly for magazines for women. I hail from Kochi prefecture, a southern district in Shikoku island of Japan and moved to Tokyo when I was 18 years old. I believe these shots make a document of my impressions on Tokyo since then.

I would be grateful if you would like to add this album to the collection of your gallery.

Yours faithfully,

Mutsuko Yoshida (Mrs.)"
