In the early 1980s decade, Spanish photographer, Miguel Trillo, produced the Rockocó fanzine, an underground publication that portrayed the different urban tribes of Madrid that soon created a cult following. Later in the mid-80s, he compiled Callejones y Avenidas, an unpublished publication that portrayed, in Trillo’s words, “calm portraits of restless nights”. Trillo’s depiction of Spanish youth culture along with his archives of publications are brought together in La Primera Movida, a book that accompanied a popular exhibition on his work that just closed at Galeria La Fabrica in Madrid.
