Tina L Hostky (Queen of the Mudd Club) hosted themed parties at the Mudd Club throughout the late 70s. L Hostky was a writer, filmmaker, and actress, and also dated Jean-Michel Basquiat for a brief period in 1981. As an artist, L Hostky developed a collage-based practice culminating in this work; found text from vintage pulp novels, newspaper articles, poetry, an autopsy report, and a chess script, are positioned alongside found pin-up and sexploitation photos. A remarkable document of No Wave New York.
