Genova: Minetti-Rebora Editori, 1973. First edition. Softcover, [48]pp., 8.5 x 6 inches.

Very Good. Gentle toning and rubbing to boards and liquid spots to spine. Inside pages very bright and tight spine.

One of 1000 copies, this scarce copy of Bernd & Hilla Becher's photobook is an excellent early example of their austere, anonymous photography depicting Germany's industrial water towers, blast furnaces, and framework houses in striking black-and-white compositions. Published as part of the "Flying Artbooks" series curated by Germano Celant, the book was released alongside an exhibition of the Becher's photographs at Galleriaforma in Genoa on 19 April 1973 - the pair's first exhibition in Italy.
